Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development at Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. you will identify and grow existing and new client relationships across the full range of ACT’s products and services in the medical and industrial cooling industry. You will facilitate multi-disciplinary teams, manage account development efforts, and foster relationships with executive decision makers to achieve account sales and revenue goals. You will be an ambassador to the ACT and Airsys brand. You bring a thoughtful and consultative approach. To clients you will convey an acute understanding of ACT and Airsys’s complete value across product and service design, strategy and technology. You are expected to drive the creation, proposal, and winning of new programs by matching clients’ needs with ACT’s offerings and persuasively presenting the ACT solution.

While the Director is primarily focused on new program initiation he/she leads the status of ongoing engagements and building of long term relationships with decision makers and influencers is a must.

This position demands an energetic individual who has solid business knowledge and strong customer sense, capable of executing an innovative marketing strategy aiming to break through the existing market barriers in Medical and Industrial Cooling industry, while searching for whitespace markets leading to actual business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish solid brand awareness and reputation for ACT and Airsys’s cooling solution in the related industry
  • Build and sustain healthy relationship with existing and new clients via phone calls, on-site visits and periodic satisfaction survey, develop opportunities for sales of equipment and services, identify market needs/market trend and provide timely feedback to the management team and manufacturer.
  • Ensure closure on client commitments to new projects, including decision-maker verbal/e-mail approval and timely signatures on agreement or contract
  • Increase intimate understanding of your clients’ business strategy, products and services
  • Contribute in the creation and execution of sales and marketing strategy and sales action plans.
  • Contribute to account plans and reviews, reporting, project kickoffs, and key project deliverable readouts.
  • Control and communicate the new business funnel, providing accurate and timely reporting of all new project opportunities to the executive team.
  • Reaching annual revenue contribution goals
  • Attaining new client acquisition targets
  • Demonstrating proactive ability in reaching executive level decision makers for the services and products that ACT and Airsys offers
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing professional networks; participating in professional societies
  • Lead on-site and trade show or expo presentations, seminars and education that promote the image of the company and its products and services

Service Manager – Medical Cooling

We are looking for a seasoned service manager with chiller/refrigeration experience. Experience in working with Medical Industry cooling systems a plus. This position requires at least 6-10 years hands on diagnosis and troubleshooting experience with HVAC, chiller and refrigeration problems. The ideal candidate should be PROACTIVE with very strong analytical, phone support, and technical troubleshooting skills. Some irregular work schedule may be required.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

This position involves constant interaction with customers and service technicians over the phone therefore strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Travel is approximately 10-15% annually.

  • Provide guidance and advice to field technicians and contractors over the phone (85%) or on-site (10-15%) in diagnosis, repair, installation and calibration of medical cooling equipment
  • Regularly contact customers to evaluate service performance, solve issues and seek opportunities for improvement
  • Manage service team and emergency response system to ensure service calls are answered 24/7 and response to customers within 15 minutes.
  • Provide training to contractors and customers online or on-site, work with service manager to develop training materials
  • Visit customers' facilities for on-site repair or installation in some cases, provide technical support/advice, supervise the repair/installation/calibration process.
  • Assist in resolving product or service issues by clarifying customers' inquiries and complaint, determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure timely resolution. Seek technical advice from manufacturer's support group.
  • Analyze complex/difficult emergency cases and repeated technical issues, provide timely feedback to the management and manufacturer
  • Build customer relationships and develop cooperative network of service providers.
  • Assist management in developing business relationship with potential customers.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong HVAC, Refrigeration, Chiller experience or HVAC certificate. College level training courses required.
  • Previous troubleshooting, installation/calibration/repair experience in A/C or HVAC field highly desired
  • 6-10 years directly related work and industry experience.
  • Ability to lead teams. Ability to direct work and meet critical deadlines.
  • A sense of urgency, customer-oriented, excellent customer service skills
  • Strong work ethics, multi-tasking ability, exceptional organizational skills, ability to get work done in a timely manner.
  • 5+ years project management experience desired. Ability to plan, estimate, develop proposals, create action plans, organize and rally team members, track work, direct resources, hold team members accountable, manage risk, develop mitigation, think 3 steps ahead.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills over the phone or in person. Must be comfortable providing technical advice on the phone on daily basis
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills including Excel, Word, PPT, etc.
  • Must be able to create engineering analyses, executive-level reports and sales presentations
  • Solid problem solving and conflict resolution skills required
  • Be able to lift 20 lb (parts and supplies)
  • Some irregular work hours may be required.
  • 10-15% domestic/international travel may be needed.
  • Required experience: HVACR: 7 years
